From The Fortress
Like all things of the Great Mystery, the fortress is paradoxical- with light and shadow sides. Since long ago, the fortress stood as a symbol of psychic wholeness, safety, and belonging. And yet, this same image evokes the Tower of tarot- the crumbling illusion of security, the protection that quietly becomes a prison.
The Hero’s Journey always returns to where it began, which, in myth, is often from a fortress of some kind. But first, there is a need to step beyond the walls of the ordinary, to take a quest into the unknown from the fortress, and return with the medicine only you can bring.
Psilocybin taught me my medicine is helping people through "the scary bits" and a dream once told me to "become your namesake." My last name means From the Fortress, which seems fitting for this soulful venture.
