The Maiden

archetypes

The blossoming of potential, innocence, and new beginnings.

The Maiden is the archetype of youth, possibility, and awakening, as well as the beginning of the Mother-Maiden-Crone triad. She represents the early stages of life and creative projects, when everything feels fresh and full of potential. The Maiden carries the energy of curiosity, playfulness, and wonder, but also naiveté and vulnerability. She invites us to embrace beginnings, honor our inner child, and remain open to joy, discovery, and the unknown.

Closing Reflection

The Maiden reminds us that innocence, joy, and openness to life are sacred. She is the spark of beginning, the fresh page, the dawn of possibility. In her light, she blesses us with curiosity and wonder. In her shadow, she warns against denial or dependency. The Maiden asks: Where am I being invited to begin again with openness and trust?
